Day 3: I finally figured out how to navigate the damn hall.
I prefer to rp with people 25+ and anyone under 21 is a hard no. I can write in-game or in Discord and I'm comfortable with both, but in-game is primarily going to happen in CST evenings. I'm also comfortable with darker themes and I love a good horror setting, but I do draw a line at certain forms of injury and gore. If it ever comes to that for any reason, I will happily elaborate more on that.IC =/= OOC. What happens in character is not an inherent reflection of how I feel about you or your character.I do not wish to write with self-insert characters. We all put a piece of ourselves into a writing and that's completely normal. But if your character is just you plopped into Final Fantasy, you will have to find a writing partner who is not me.
While I don't mind lorebending, I do try to go relatively close to the book on lore compliance. That includes magic limitations, not being a warrior of light, having zero IC knowledge about any shards, etc.Talk to me! If you have an idea for a plot or an interaction you're thinking about, throw it my way. I'm probably going to be very interested in it.I enjoy writing a wide variety of rp types, including slice-of-life, horror, conflict, secret heresy, etc. So really and truly, throw any ideas at me you want.
Day 38: Colder than yesterday. Three broken legs.
. FULL NAME.. Finia Euphrasie de Lionnellais
. GENDER. . Female
. RACE. . Ishgardian Elezen.
. OCCUPATION. . For the last three years, she's been the head of her unit of Knights Dragoon Hospitaliers, who (as the name might suggest) was trained to work with the Dragoons. Today, she works under House Faepoix to provide long term care to retired soldiers in Ishgard, specializing in Dragoons. She also will treat civilian patients who come to her.. HEIGHT. . Six fulms. By elezen standards, she's quite short.
. BUILD. . She is built exactly how you'd expect a woman who's used to constantly packing up and moving between camps to be built. She's thin, fast, and reasonably muscular.
. CLOTHING. . Usually, one will find her in her bright blue uniform. When she's off the clock, however, she rather likes dressing up and looking her best when she goes out.

. BIRTHPLACE. . Ishgard, The Pillars
. CURRENT HOME. . Ishgard, the Pillars
. LANGUAGE(S). . Common and a bit of old Elezen tongue ("You wouldn't believe how many old anatomy texts are written in it."). SIG. OTHER. . None
. CHILDREN. . None
. PET(S). . None, but she did make best friends with a squirrel once. Does that count?. SPECIAL ABILITIES. . She's extremely talented with aether manipulation and telling apart various types of plants and herbs. Don't touch the red one, it's poisonous.. Religious Beliefs . She (technically) follows the word of the Fury. However, Finia's hatred of the church itself knows no bounds. She's all in favor of tearing the cathedral apart brick by brick and using it as building material.
Day 125: Still cold. Chamberliaux finally stabilized. Will keep watch.

Finia was a young girl with a bright future. As a member of House Lionnellais, known for its soldiers and knights, it was assumed that she would soon join them amongst the ranks of the Ishgardian military. And she did, though not in the way everyone expected.Though she started as a page under her uncle, it didn't take long to notice that swordplay and etiquette were the furthest thing from her mind.
Bumps and bruises are a natural thing during training and she was remarkably good at patching them up for a child with no formal training. Their evenings, which should have been filled with study and prayer, instead came alive with chatter about bone setting, aether therapy, or poultice recipes she'd found in the family library. A young Finia had, in fact, found something that excited her like nothing else: The complex inner workings of the body and a burning desire to fix up her family when they got themselves hurt. After an arranged introduction that found House Faepoix taking her under its wing, she found herself cast into more formal medical studies. There, she didn't just excel. She thrived.
When she grew up, Finia would be called to service as a member of the Temple Knights Hospitaliers. There, she threw herself into her work and her notes, laboring day and night to deliver as many people back to their families in one piece as she could. As a result, she was often going several days at a time without sleeping, often having to be forced into caring for herself as well as her patients.Finia also developed an intense hatred for the church and its officials during this time, internally questioning why the hell Halone needed a golden cathedral when Her own in the Brume were stumbling sick and broken into her care.Between her efforts and the notably high survival rate of the patients assigned to her, Finia was the first pick when a position opened up with the Order of the Knights Dragoon Hospitaliers. She would go on to become head of her unit there, serving in the position until the war's end. Now she works full-time for House Faepoix, providing long-term care for retired dragoons and soldiers.
Day ???: Met a new face today, delivering the news. It was an interesting one.
The Doctor Is In
Have you ever been a patient under her care? Or perhaps you ran across her while she was working for the Temple Knights? Are you a fellow medic? She's met quite a few people over the years.
Justice For The Wronged
On rare occasions, when she's not working in the clinic or making house calls, you might find her arguing with a variety of officials and offices. She is, in fact, a loud advocate for better pay and working conditions for retired knights and the workers of the Brume.
What's She Doing Here?
Depending on how tired she is that day, it's not entirely unusual to see Finia walk into a bar in her full uniform and immediately order the strongest drink they have. Maybe you've met in the Knight at some point?
Deal Another Hand
One of her favorite non-work activities is playing cards. Triple Triad, Ifrit's Gambit, it doesn't matter to her. She knows how to play a whole lot of games. And she might just invite you to the card table if you want to play.
Open For Business?
She does make a variety of her own pastes, minor potions, and ointments. And she'll be happy to sell them to you if you ask her about them. Likewise, if you need some extra work and are willing to collect a few materials for her, she's willing to pay.
Day 437: Cook at another camp tried to poison the men. All other camps under investigation now. Everyone on guard.
"If I have to hear one more word about "reconstruction" or "the pox" from her, I'm going to scream!" --Frustrated Neighbor
"She took my brother in for the cost of bread when he couldn't pay her. And then told him to keep the bread when she was done. He's never been in better spirits." --Excited girl
"I swear, I watched her stab an aevis through the heart outside of camp. She's barely taller than a stalk, how the hell is she that strong?" --Bewildered Knight
"I'm pretty sure she cheats at the card tables." --Irritable Gambler
"She should visit the House of Lords more often. The looks on their faces when they hear she's coming!" --Amused Woman
